Those faces we never saw : a compendium of information on the Box, Curd, Gillespie, Veal and some allied families of the Southeastern United States Veal, Burt W. pg 2 Henry Box Sr. was born about 1770 in Laurens County, South Carolina. Not much is known about this man. He married a woman named Cassandra whose maiden name may have been Box. He moved to Alabama before 1818. In 1820 Henry Sr. was a Justice of the Peace in St. Clair County, Alabama, and presided over the wedding ceremony of his son, Henry Jr.

Descendants of Allen Baggett, 1762-1823, the Revolutionary veteran of North Carolina and Walton County, Ga. : with descendants primarily in Douglas, Cobb, Gwinnett, Paulding and other north Georgia counties, as well as Alabama, Texas, and other Southern states Baggett, Joe 8. Bennett Baggett, born April 13, 1796 (birthdate corrected), d. Jan. 15, 1846, m. 1820, Anson Co., N.C, Mary Sikes, 1801-June 22, 1873. He is probably buried in Powder Springs, where he was a notary and trustee of the Powder Springs Academy, 1840.
